Nijmegen Training March 7
Having arrived prepared for another arduous weekend, especially considering the weather last month, we were all pleasantly surprised by the 16° weather sunshine and refreshing breeze which greeted us on our 7th Training March.
Despite this train march being the longest one yet (25 miles on both days), it passed far too quickly.
We walked 25 miles on both days around the Huntingdon area. The walking conditions were good, although we did get stuck in the mud along some of the more rural roads which proved rather perilous for the state of my uniform!
After finishing on the first day we were assigned our Nijmegen teams: I was fortunate enough to be selected for the military team who have to march a total of around 200km over the four days in Holland, and in full uniform!
This was definitely the hardest but most rewarding weekend so far and I'm immensely proud to be a part of the team!
